How It Works: Language Pathway
A Clear Language Pathway from Grade 1 Onwards
STAGE 1: Grade 1—3
Equal instruction in Vietnamese and English. Students build confidence in both languages while developing the habits, vocabulary and foundations needed for inquiry-based learning.
STAGE 2: From grade 4
A gradual shift towards a 90% English / 10% Vietnamese balance. Vietnamese continues through a high-quality language programme so students continue to maintain language, identity and cultural connection.
The balance evolves as students grow, but Vietnamese language and cultural identity remain part of the learning pathway.

Two Teachers. One Connected Classroom.
In VNTH’s Dual Language classrooms, two teachers work together in the same learning space:
One native English speaker and one native Vietnamese speaker. They plan and lead instruction together, so both languages are used naturally, accurately and intentionally during the learning process.
